Originally
published in 1970, the first versions included the following components
: Gameboard, 6 Playing pieces, 24 Painting cards, 24 Value cards, 24 Clips,
6 Biography cards, Die, Play money & instructions ... and were for
three to six players.
The
1976 version added 18 more Value cards with updated / revised rules for
their inclusion.
The
1987 version added 2 more Biography cards and 6 Value Charts.
The
1996 version eliminated the Biography cards & Clips and introduced
a small plastic display Easel.

components include (1996) : Gameboard, 6 Playing pieces, 24 Painting cards,
42 Value cards, 6 Value charts, Die, Play money, plastic Display Easel
& instructions.
Another
interesting tidbit is the original, first year (1970) versions had a print
panel on the back of the gameboard. When reproduced later, the front of
the gameboard still looked the same, but the print panel on the back was
eliminated.
