"Boom
Or Bust" is a game of buying and selling properties, and paying rents as
you go around the board. The difference is landing on certain spaces, which
starts the "Boom Or Bust" cycle ... from normal times, to boom times, to
bust times ... which affects the amounts paid for properties and rents.
The goal is to become the sole survivor --- the only one who does not go
bankrupt --- through all the "Boom Or Bust" times. Optional play, like
Auctions or Bargain Option prices, gives the game some variety.
Game
components include : Gameboard, Boom Or Bust panel, 64 Property Ownership
markers (16 ea. of 4 colors), Play money, 4 Playing pieces, 2 Dice &
instructions. Note: In some cases there was also cardboard Coins used in
addition to the Play money, although they are not mentioned in the rules.
Three
or four players. Ages 12 & up. Parker Brothers from 1951.
