Based
on the TV Show of the era starring Vic Morrow and Rick Jason, "Combat"
was a game of strategy. The objective was to occupy the enemy headquarters
or capture all enemy soldiers. Great game for young ones to learn a little
strategic thinking.
Game
components include : Gameboard, 24 Decision cards (12 ea. red & blue),
12 Soldiers w/ stands (6 ea. red & blue), Spinner & instructions.
Two
to four players. Ages 7 to 14. Ideal Toy Corporation from 1963.

info: The "Combat" TV Show ran on ABC from 1962 to 1967 and depicted
the exploits of a U.S. Army platoon fighting its way across Europe following
D-Day in World War II. Realism in the TV Show was keynote, with both fighting
episodes and human interest episodes. The platoon was led by Lt. Gil Hanley,
played by Rick Jason, with Sgt. Chip Saunders, played by Vic Morrow. Shecky
Greene, the nightclub comedian, played Pvt. Braddock, the platoon's comic
and hustler.
