Brandish
your weapons and join King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table in
"Quests Of The Round Table", a strategic adventure card game. Test your
strength and valor in heroic Tournaments and on historical Quests. Allies
like Sir Lancelot, Sir Gawain, and Merlin will assist you in your epic
struggle against foes such as Mordred, the Black Knight, and the Dragon.
Vanquish your opponents and be the first to join the greatest Knights of
the realm at the Round Table.
The goal for the player,
who begins as a Squire, is to raise their Rank by successfully completing
Quests and defeating other players in Tournaments. The reward is a Shield
for each success and, after accumulation of so many Shields, the player
goes next to Knight, then Champion Knight and, eventually, Knight Of The
Round Table. The game has three sets of cards : Rank, Story and Adventure,
with the Rank deck merely designating your current Rank. The Story cards
lets one know what may take place on that turn : a Quest, a Tournament
or an Event. The Adventure cards aid (or hinder) the player on their
turn: Foe, Weapon, Ally, Amour and Test. As the cards are played, totals
are added up from the point values on the cards to determine whether one
wins a Shield.
Game
components include: 125 Adventure cards, 28 Story cards, 12 Rank cards,
40 cardboard Shield tokens (10 ea. of 4 colors) and 16-page instruction
manual.
