"War
And Peace" has you taking command of Napoleon's Grand Armee in all the
massive, desperate campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars ... from the mountains
of Portugal to the Russian steppes ... from the autumn of 1805 through
the dramatic summer of 1815. The entire ten year conflict between France,
England, Austria, Prussia, Russia and Spain, is re-created in ten scenarios,
with the Grand Campaign game being suitable for up to 6 players.
Game
features include an attrition phase, over-runs, forced marches, sieges,
morale and entrenchments. A tactical matrix system can be added to the
combat resolution at the player's option. Diplomacy is represented and
is a crucial factor in the Grand Campaign game. The game
uses strength points and allows for hidden strength allocation to individual
leaders. Counters represent every major leader and unit that took part
--- infantry, cavalry, guards, cossacks, naval units, landwehr and militia.
Medium complexity.

4
Mapboards, over 1,000 Counters, Campaign Game card, Player Aid card &
24 or 32-page Rules booklet.

An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
