"Tactics"
contains the first and original, never before published Mapboard, made
expressly for this 25th Anniversary Issue. "Tactics" is often called the
'Father of Wargaming". It was first released in 1953 by Charles S. Roberts
and distributed by the Stackpole Company. Played like a military chess
game, two players battle against each other. A perfect starting game for
would-be
wargamers. Low complexity. Also see "Tactics
II".
Game
components include : Mapboard, 100 Counters, Die, & 8-page Rules booklet.
Two
players. Ages 10 & up. Avalon Hill from 1983.
An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
