Throughout
its long history, Spice Trading has been seasoned with adventure and romance.
Wars were fought and seats of power dismantled for the want of irresistible
spices. Their demand surpassed the quest for gold and gave birth to the
Age of Discovery. Spices were used not only to flavor and preserve foods,
but also to lend their exotic aromas and mystic powers to perfumes, medicines
and magic potions. In the Middle Ages, when a pound of nutmeg was worth
seven fat oxen, it's no wonder that spices were often the crowning possession
in dowries of the wealthy. In "Spices Of The World", you engage in commerce
and travel in pursuit of exotic spices in competitive global trading. The
game features miniature vials of actual spices as the playing pieces.

An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
