"Rail
Baron" can make you become a railroad mogul like Jay Gould or Cornelius
Vanderbilt and build a railroad empire. Each player begins with a home
city, $20,000 and a train. Make money by taking trips from one city to
another ... the longer the trip, the more money ... but you have to pay
the bank for each rail line you use. After you earn some money, you buy
your own rail line, then charge others for its use. The idea is to get
to each destination the cheapest way possible, whether its your line, the
bank's or even an opponent's. Be the first player to collect $200,000 to
win. Typical playing time about three hours.
Game components include :
Mapboard, 28 Rail Line Title cards, 6 Tokens, 6 Express Train cards, 6
Superchief Train cards, 6 sets of colored Chips, Payoff Chart, 3 Dice (2
red & a white), Play money & instructions.

to six players. Ages 10 & up. Avalon Hill.

An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
