"Panzergruppe
Guderian" is the re-enactment of the German capture of Smolensk in 1941.
Test your abilities as either the German or the Soviet player in this decisive
early battle of WW2. The Soviet player begins the game by deploying their
units in a mixture of predetermined and user determined hexes, so the units
are in an unknown state and are placed upside down. The German player enters
their units on a schedule each turn. If enemy units are encountered, the Soviet
player flips it over, revealing its strength, and combat occurs. The game
lasts 12 turns or about 24 game-days. Medium complexity. Typical playing
time about two hours.
Game
components include : Mapboard, 260 Counters, Soviet Reference card, German
Reference card, Die, Advanced Rules sheet & Rule book.
Two
players (can be played solitaire). Ages 12 & up. Avalon Hill from 1984.

An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
