This
was based on the "Gulf Strike"
board wargame and allows you to issue air, land and sea orders of battle
for more than a dozen nations. It simulates the effect of a Soviet invasion
of Iran. The Soviet player has tank armies, mechanized units & infantry
on the ground, submarines, destroyers & aircraft carriers in the Persian
Gulf, and command of the Iraqi forces at war with Iran. The United States
player has both their own units and French & British expeditionary
forces. The game is more an overall strategy system where "battle plans"
are executed instead of constant keyboard commands. Medium to high complexity.
Available for the Atari, Apple II, Commodore and IBM PC / PC Jr.
One
or two players. Avalon Hill / Microcomputer Games from 1986.
Note:
Any computer, type of media, and/or minimum requirements listed are limited
to those in Avalon Hill catalogs I have available. It is possible there
may be more available than listed.
