"Clear
For Action" allows you to fight the opening battle of Trafalgar ... or
re-create the historical action between the U.S.S. Constitution and the
H.M.S. Guerriere ... or sail aboard the U.S.S. Chesapeake and re-write
the War of 1812. Ship-to-ship combat in the age of fighting sail, with
over 50 ships to choose from to command. Eleven scenarios provided but
you can build your own ships and engagements. Features include five different
types of ammunition, each ship is rated, wind factors, and tactical sail
postures. Medium complexity. Available for the Atari and TRS-80. Looks
like a forerunner to "Wooden
Ships & Iron Men" before that game became so popular and was made
into a computer
game.
One
to eight players. Microcomputer Games / Avalon Hill.
Note:
Any computer, type of media, and/or minimum requirements listed are limited
to those in Avalon Hill catalogs I have available. It is possible there
may be more available than listed.
