"Mystic
Wood" is a fantasy role-playing game set in an ever-changing forest that
lies somewhere between Earth and Heaven. Choose a Knight and go on a quest
--- meet, join and/or defeat Wild Boars, Dragons, Sages, Magicians and
others. Get the Holy Grail, Shield, Ring and other items. A player wins
the game by fulfilling their Quest and leaving the Wood by the Enchanted
Gate. Copyrighted to Terence Donnelly, the game was inspired by Ariosto's
"Mad Roland" and Spender's "The Faerie Queen". Low to medium complexity.
Game
components include : 45 Map Cards, 40 Role cards (5 Knights, 3 Spells and
29 Denizens - plus 3 blank cards), 4 Player tokens, 2 Dice & rules
booklet.
Two
to four players. Ages 12 & up. Avalon Hill from 1980.
An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
