The
"Collector" lets you wheel and deal, buy and sell --- but do you have enough
money to support your collecting taste? Will you pay a huge amount for
a valuable antique, just to find that no one will pay much for it --- or
that it's a forgery? This is basically 3M's game called "High-Bid" with
a board and other changes. Start the game with some money and a few rare
items. Then try to build and expand through buying and selling, with a
goal of owning an entire collection, which is worth more. Typical playing
time is less than two hours.
Game
components include : Gameboard, 54 Rare Item cards, 12 Special Value cards,
Play money, 2 special Dice, Scorepad & instructions.
Two
to four players. Ages 12 & up. Avalon Hill from 1977.
An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
