In
"Amoeba Wars", the old Empire has collapsed and the players, as Space Lords,
are attempting to reunify the galaxy once again. Their goal is the conquest
of the planet Saestor, the capital of the old empire. Two things stand
in their way ... the other Space Lords and the dreaded Space Amoebas. There
are five types of ships: Scouts, Cruisers, Dreadnoughts, Battlestars and
Monitors. Players expand to conquer other solar systems ... an unoccupied
solar system can be conquered easily, but ones containing ships belonging
to other Space Lords or systems infested with Space Amoebas are more difficult.
Good planning, with some calculated risks, may help you, but watch out
for the Doomsday Machines. Medium complexity. Typical playing time from
one to three hours.
Game
components include : Gameboard, Counters, Power cards, Dice & instructions.
Two
to six players. Ages 12 & up. Avalon Hill from 1981.
An
important note regarding Avalon Hill games
- It was not unusual for Avalon Hill to re-publish most of their games
with 2nd, 3rd or more Editions. Sometimes the game components changed,
sometimes they didn't. If your game components do not correspond exactly
with what is listed, do not despair. You may just have to do a little more
checking to insure its completeness.
