Propaganda
is all around us and has been used since man's beginning to disseminate
information, expound ideas, and offer opinions. Propaganda can be used
for benign purposes or evil purposes. Often, propaganda is subtle, in order
to lure one into believing or converting to one's side of opinion. The
game of "Propaganda" has been designed to introduce players to some of
the techniques used to distort the clear thinking process. While not a
"game" in the purest sense of the word, it does have game mechanics, with
samples and an end result of building logical thinking. These are most
appropriate in classroom settings.
