"Passing
Through the Netherworld" or "Senet" is an ancient Egyptian funerary game
with the concept of fate and the supposed struggle of the dead to achieve
everlasting life. "Backgammon" is considered to be a descendant of "Senet"
and, thus, some of the play will seem familar as you move your pieces along
the winding 30-House path --- leaping, blocking and setting your opponent
back --- while getting your pieces to the end and off the board. Includes
76-page book on the history of the game in ancient times. Published by
several companies --- Kirk Game Company version shown from 1978 --- also see Northwest Corner version.
Game
components include : Gameboard, 14 wood Playing pieces (7 "Spools"
& 7 "Cones"), 4 wood Dice Sticks & 76-page book on history of the
game w/ instructions.

up. Timothy Kendall / Kirk Game Company Company / W. J. Fantasy.
