"Catch
Mag" is a somewhat unique game from Italy where players move their spacecraft
token around the Space Circle (board) and try to catch Energy Bars of their
color. The Energy Bars are made up of magnets, with a positive pole on
one end and a negative pole on the other (to attract or repel), and are
inserted into the board. Depending on circumstances, the player tries to
"catch" an Energy Bar by using the "Catch Mag" piece and is either rewarded
by catching a positive end of an Energy Bar or loses it by having the end
repelled. The object is to capture all your color Energy Bars. There is
more to playing the game, including the bonus "Spheres" (metal marbles),
but this will give you the general idea of the game.
Game
components include : plastic Gameboard (w/ built-in storage spaces for
all parts), 25 Energy Bars, Catch Mag piece, 10 Spheres (metal marbles),
Die, 4 Spacecraft playing pieces & instructions.
Two
to four players. Ages 6 & up. PlastWood (no date but probably late
1990s or 2000s).
