| "Defiance
: The Battle Of Xuan Loc" captures the spirit of the heroic battle near
the town of Xuan Loc during the Vietnam War in April 1975. A small group,
consisting of the ARVN 18th Division and 3rd Tank Brigade, stood their
ground against the North Vietnamese 5th, 6th, 7th and 341st Division (armed
with artillery and T-54 tanks). For nearly two weeks the NVA was held off
(and eventually counterattacked by the South Vietnamese forces). The cost
to the NVA was dear --- 6000 men and 60 T-54 tanks. Fairly even battle.
Each turn represents about a day, each hex represents about 1.75 miles,
and units are Company or Battalion size.
