"Lifeline"
was a give-away, educational game back in the 1960s by John Hancock Insurance
Company and, as you might expect, it is about Life Insurance. Each player
assumes the role of the Head of the family and the goal of the game is
to obtain insurance coverage in relationship to their income and responsibilities.
It all packages up neatly into a small 12" by 4" by 1" box and includes
a folding circular playing board with built-in spinner and wood playing
pawns. Very rare game.
Game
components include : Gameboard w/ Spinner, 4 wooden Pawns, 40 Insurance
Policy cards, 14 Budget cards, 21 Salary cards, 16 Playing pieces (4 wives,
4 houses & 8 children), Play money & instructions.
Two
to four players. No age given but around 9 & up. John Hancock Insurance Company
/ American Publishing Corporation from 1965. American Publishing also published
several other games. I am looking into those games.
