Plow
the back 40 on your kitchen table! Start with 20 acres of land, a line
of credit at the bank, and the hopes of independence in this monopoly -style
game --- but better. See if you have what it takes to be a farmer in the
"Farming Game" --- even if you live in an apartment. This was originally
released in 1979 with the oversized box, then re-published in 1996 in a
smaller box form.
Game
components include : Gameboard, 6 plastic Farmer playing pieces, 2 Dice,
Promissory Notes, Play money, ***34 OTB (Option To Buy) cards, ***21 Farmers
Fate cards, ***25 Operating Expenses cards, Harvest Rate card, 130 vinyl
Stamps (see list below) & instructions.
***Notes:
The game does not state exact contents. I have sold 5 of these (2 unused)
and, in these earlier games, I have found the OTB, Farmers Fate and Operating
Expenses cards to vary in number ... even with the unused ones. Generally,
if you have close to the numbers listed above, you will be OK. The later
editions are more precise with the cards - 24 ea. Farmers Fate & Operating
Expenses and 40 OTB.
Two
to six players. Ages 10 & up. Weekend Farmer Company from 1979.
Additional
info:
Stamps
= 30 Hay (10 acres ea.), 30 Wheat (10 acres ea.), 30 Fruit Trees (5 acres
of ea.), 30 Cows (10 ea.), 5 Tractor & 5 Harvester.
