"Fanorona"
is a game of strategy and considered the National Game of Madagascar. It
is a classic boardgame of tactical skill. It is said that Princes and Kings
have fallen because they could not stop playing. The object of the game

The most common version of the game is the one most will know it by, which
is played on a 9 by 5 grid. Other variations use a 3 by 3, a 5 by 5 or
a 8 by 4 grid.
Game
components include (as shown) : wood Gameboard (w/ feet & pull-out
storage drawer), 44 wood Playing pieces (22 ea. light & dark), 12-page
history of the Game booklet & Rules and Strategy booklet.
