Although
the game title, "BLARF", suggests something you would not want to get near,
it actually stands for Backwards, Left, Any
Straight Angle, Right and Forward ... BLARF!
The object is to knock off your opponents by getting into the same squares
they are in on the gameboard or by jumping their Chip(s), taking it off
the board. Last player with a Chip left on the board is the winner. Each
five Chip set of player's Chips have the letters B, L, A, R and F on them,
which are set on the board on their corresponding letter and color. The
B
Chip can only move Backwards, the L Chips can only move left,
the A Chip can only move at any straight angle and so on.
The number of squares one can move is determined by the roll of a die.
Now, here is where it gets interesting ... once you make a move, the Chip
gets flipped over and you have to remember what direction that Chip may
be pointing toward or else you may move yourself off the gameboard if you
pick the wrong Chip to move!
Game
components include : Gameboard, 20 plastic Chips (5 sets of 4 different
colors), Die and instructions (in English & Spanish on box bottom).
Two
to four players. Ages 10 & up. Parlor Games from 1980.
