"Alphabok"
is a Solitaire word game created by John O. Nilan and published in 1968-69.
The object is to start with a "Key Phrase" running vertically on the board,
then "build" words from left to right from the "Key Phrase" ... continually
building and re-building until you use all 200 letters! There is even a
"Double Alphabok" game which can be played by two players. Although the
gameplay was the same, there were two versions published, with one being
given the general name of Deluxe because it was packaged a little fancier.
The best I can determine, this was the only "game" which Springbok published.
Game
components include : Board w/ non-slip surface, 200 Letter Squares w/ non-slip
backing (game calls for 200 Letter Squares but every one I've sold has
always had about 20 or so extras), plastic Sorting Tray / Holding Tray
& 48-page Instruction booklet w/ rules, tips, examples and other info.
Solitaire
or two players. Ages 10 & up. Springbok from 1968.

info: Rules (text file)
