A
sim of the daring attack by the United Nations' 10th Corps against the
port of Inchon, and the subsequent advance on Seoul in Sept. 1950. The
operation resulted in both victories (severing communication lines, liberation
of the capital city and virtual annihilation of NKPA in the south) and
setbacks (Red Chinese intervention and retreat). Each game-turn is about
one day and each hex is about one mile.
The
UN player controls the U.S. Army, Marines, ROK units and all naval units.
The NKPA player controls all North Korean units. The UN player's goal is
to capture Seoul, but do so while gathering enough victory points to win.
The NKPA player can win by blocking the capture of Seoul or various other
conditions. Optional rules allow for some variations, along with some variants
included. Low to medium complexity.
