Part
of SPI's Thirty Years War series, this covers the first
major battle between the Swedish Army of Gustavus Adolphus and the Imperialist
Army (commanded by Tilly) on September 17, 1631. This represents the first
major clash between the "Spanish" tactical system, which had dominated
European warfare, and the first "modern" army. This originally came in
2 formats - in a "QuadriGames" format (with all four of the games in the
series) and a Folio edition, where the games were sold seperately. It was
later released in Strategy & Tactics Magazine # 55.
Game
components include : Mapsheet, 100 Counters, Die, Standard Rules for "Thirty
Years War" & Exclusive Rules for "Brietenfield". Folio & Magazine
editions did not have die.
Two
