 A
simple, clever tile-laying game. Develop the area around Carcassonne by
placing land tiles, making the "gameboard" grow with each turn. Deploy
your "Followers" as thieves, farmers, knights and monks to control and
score points --- but deploy them cleverly because you only have so many.
The
game also had a number of expansions published : "The River", "Inns &
Cathedrals" and "Traders & Builders" to name a few.

Basic
Game = 72 Land tiles, 40 wooden "Followers" (8 ea. of 5 colors), Scoring
Track Board & instructions.
The
River = 12 River tiles & instructions.
Inns
& Cathedrals = 18 Land tiles, 6 Point tiles, 8 Gray Followers, 6 Large
Followers & instructions.
Traders
& Builders = 24 Land tiles, 20 Trade Good tokens, 6 Builders, 6 Pigs,
Cloth Bag & instructions.
Generally
designed for two players but up to six can play with some expansions. Ages
10 & up. Rio Grande Games from 2000. A Limited Edition was published
in 2003 which included The River, Inns & Cathedrals and Traders &
Builders in a single package.
