SHORT PRESSMAN GAME HISTORY
The company was founded
in 1922 by Jack Pressman and was originally named J. Pressman & Company.
In 1925 Mr. Pressman formed a partnership and in 1928 the company scored
its first big hit by acquiring the rights to Chinese Checkers. During the
1930s they began licensing agreements and sold lines of Snow White, Dick
Tracy & Little Orphan Annie products.
.
During
the 1940s the partnership was dissolved and the company took the name of
Pressman Toy Corporation, with Mr. Pressman's new wife holding the position
of Vice President. The company continued to thrive on Disney-themed licenses
for toys, games and activity sets. In 1959 Mr. Pressman died and his wife,
Lynn, took over and continued the company's success, setting trends and
pioneering innovations in the industry.
.
In
1977, James (Jim) Pressman took over the reins of the company and continues
to today. The company is still continuing its successful ways
