| An
operational-level
game covering the events of 22-27 Dec 1944 at the westernmost advance of
the Fifth Panzer Army during the Battle Of The Bulge. Counters represent
battalions, battlegroups & smaller units of German, American and British
armies which fought in the area. The German Panzer formations are attempting
to reach and cross the Meuse River in the vicinity of Dinant while holding
their right flank against Allied counterattacks.
The
game uses an "integrated" system, where movement & combat take place
in the same phase, in the order desired by the player. Three scenarios
are provided; # 1 is a basic historical scenario, which begins on 22 Dec
and reflects the actual problems encountered ; # 2 begins a day earlier
and gives the German commander more options ; # 3 starts on 22 Dec and
gives an uncertain feeling (a fog of war) of the location & strength
of the enemy. Optional rules allow variations. Medium complexity.
Game
components include : Mapsheet, 200 Counters (includes 60 blanks) and Rules.
Two
players. Ages 12 & up. 3W / World Wide Wargames from 1983 --- Wargamer
