A
tactical-level game re-creating the constant struggle between the forces
of the Raj and his various opponents -- Afghan native Irregulars &
Regulars, and the fierce Pathan Tribesman of the Northwest Frontier. The
time period runs from roughly the mid-1870s through the early 1880s. Although
not an exact representation of battles, the game simulates the types of
actions which occurred in this time period. Each hex is about 50 yards,
each counter about 10 men, and each game-turn about 10 minutes of time.
There
are eight scenarios provided with a suggestion to create do-it-yourself
scenarios. Included units and features include: Gatling guns, cavalry,
wagons, sappers and more, with an optional Sepoy Disloyalty rule. Low to
medium complexity.
Game
components include : 2 Mapsheets, 100 Counters (no blanks) and Rules.
Two
players. Ages 12 & up. 3W / World Wide Wargames from 1984 --- Wargamer
