The
medieval wargame which combines military strategy with chess-like moves
as the armies of two feudal Kings battle to the death. Each army is secretly
deployed, making every game different and challenging. The rough &
mountainous terrain can aid or hamper attempts to thwart the enemy or lay
siege to their castle. A BookShelf / BookCase game. Some boxes were "slide-in"
type with Divider Screen & Army Holding Box acting as edge of box.
Others used complete inner "slide-in" box.

components include : 4-piece plastic Gameboard w/ wrap-around Divider Screen
w/ 4 holding clips, 84 plastic Playing pieces (6 Armies of 14 pieces ea.)
& 8-page fold-out instructions.
Two
to six players. Ages 8 & up. 3M from 1967 (Avalon Hill box shown but
look of box did not change). Acquired by Avalon Hill and re-published (here).
Same gameplay, slightly different boxing, and some minor changes to components.
ARMIES:
Each Army consists of: one ea. King, Prince, Duke, Castle, Squire &
Archer ; two ea. Knight & Sergeant ; and four Pikemen.
